Rainbow Top Video Pattern

Welcome to my Rainbow Top Video Pattern for beginners. If you already know the basics of crochet, you can skip to the main video.

Otherwise, let's learn everything we need for this pattern.

We'll start with holding our hook:
L
eft-handed people, hold it in your left hand.
Right-handed people, hold it in your right hand.

The next step is holding our yarn.
Left-handed people in right hand.
Right-handed people in left hand

I aim to teach you all the pattern styles. That's why I have provided written patterns, diagrams, and a video tutorial, so you can see everything in one place, learn them all, and choose what is most comfortable for you. You can check out this video to learn how to read the pattern.

The first thing you always need to start with is a slip knot, into which we place our hook.

Next, we are going to learn how to make a chain. Here is a video for right-handed people:

Let's learn how to count the chains:

Next, we are going to learn the Single Crochet stitch. Here is a video for right-handed people:

And we're going to need one more stitch, which is the Double Crochet. Here is a video for right-handed people:

This is all you need for the version without the optional heart. I would recommend learning these stitches first and continuing by making the top. Once you have completed the top, you can then learn the remaining stitches needed for the optional heart.

THE MAIN VIDEO PATTERN

While watching the video, I highly recommend opening the printed pattern and referring to the instructions there as well. This will help you become accustomed to different types of instructions, which will be beneficial for your future projects. Some designers use only written instructions or diagrams, so getting used to both formats will be helpful.
